Making room for prayer
I’m a software engineer, an independent developer, and a father of two. I created Novenas to make prayer easier to begin and easier to return to in the middle of a busy life.
Whether you’re taking your first steps in faith or looking for a more consistent prayer routine, my hope is to offer a simple place to start.
I’m originally from Colombia, where novenas are a familiar part of Catholic life. People come together to pray, bring their intentions to God, and ask for the intercession of the saints. That tradition inspired this project: a little time each day, a prayer to follow, and space for whatever is on your heart.
Since launching the app earlier in 2026, I’ve been surprised and encouraged by the interest from people around the world. It’s given me more reason to keep building and caring for Novenas.
A place to begin, a companion to continue
Most of the novena catalogue is freely available on this website. You can explore the prayers and read at your own pace, without creating an account.
The app offers a more guided experience, with progress tracking, daily reminders, and subscription access to the complete catalogue. I’m continuing to make more prayers freely available while keeping the project sustainable.
My hope is that the website and the free version of the app give you what you need to begin praying and keep going.
If Novenas has made a positive difference in your life, and you’re able to contribute, subscribing in the app helps support new content and continued improvements.
However you choose to use Novenas, thank you for making it part of your prayer life.
