For Conversion

Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Opening Prayer

O God, who raised up St. Ignatius of Loyola in Your Church to further the greater glory of Your name, grant that we may follow his example on earth and merit to share his glory in heaven.

Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Meditation

Ignatius was a worldly soldier, consumed by ambition and vanity. A cannonball shattered his leg at Pamplona, and during his long recovery, reading the lives of the saints transformed his heart. He asked himself, 'What if I were to do what St. Francis did?'

His conversion was radical and complete. He exchanged his sword for prayer and his military campaigns for the conquest of souls.

Prayer

St. Ignatius, you experienced a profound conversion. Pray for my ongoing conversion of heart. Help me to let go of worldly attachments and to follow Christ more completely.

Prayer to St. Ignatius of Loyola

St. Ignatius of Loyola, you gave yourself entirely to God and taught others the way to holiness through your Spiritual Exercises. Help me to find God in all things and to seek His greater glory in everything I do.

Teach me to pray as you prayed, to discern God's will, and to respond with generosity. May I live for the praise, reverence, and service of God our Lord.

Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

St. Ignatius of Loyola, pray for us. Amen.
