Opening Prayer
O God, who filled Saint John of God with a spirit of compassion, grant, we pray, that imbued with works of charity, we may merit to be numbered among the elect in Your Kingdom.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Meditation
John of God founded hospitals and a religious order dedicated to caring for the sick. His whole life became an act of service to Christ present in the suffering. He is the patron of hospitals and all who work in healthcare.
Healthcare workers carry on John's mission of healing. We ask his intercession for all hospitals and those who staff them.
Prayer
St. John of God, patron of hospitals, bless all healthcare facilities and those who work in them. Give them the grace to see Christ in every patient.

Prayer to St. John of God
O glorious St. John of God, you burned with such love for Christ that you saw Him in every suffering person. Obtain for me a heart filled with compassion for the sick and poor. Help me to serve Christ in those who suffer.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
