For the grace of hospitality
Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Opening Prayer
Almighty and ever-living God, whose Son was received as a guest in the home of Saint Martha, grant that we may serve Christ in our brothers and sisters so that we may be welcomed by You into the dwelling place of heaven.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Meditation
Martha opened her home to Jesus and His disciples. She provided for their needs and made them welcome. Her hospitality was an expression of her love for the Lord.
Hospitality is a Christian virtue. When we welcome others, we welcome Christ Himself, who said, 'Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.'
Prayer
St. Martha, you welcomed Jesus into your home with love. Help me to practice hospitality and to see Christ in every guest I receive.

Prayer to St. Martha
O St. Martha, you received the Lord Jesus in your home and served Him with love. You believed in Him and confessed Him as the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Help me to serve the Lord in my daily duties with joy and love. May I always welcome Christ in my heart and in all those I meet.
Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
St. Martha, pray for us. Amen.
