For generosity
Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Opening Prayer
O God, who adorned the blessed Bishop Nicholas with countless miracles and made him famous for his generosity to the poor, grant that through his intercession we may practice works of mercy and attain the rewards You have promised.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Meditation
Nicholas was born to wealthy parents but used his inheritance to help the poor. Most famously, he secretly provided dowries for three poor girls, saving them from a life of misery.
He gave in secret, not seeking recognition. His generosity reminds us that true giving expects nothing in return and seeks no praise.
Prayer
St. Nicholas, you gave generously from your wealth to help the poor. Help me to be generous with what I have, giving freely and without seeking recognition.

Prayer to St. Nicholas
O glorious Saint Nicholas, you were known for your hidden generosity and your love for children. Throughout your life, you defended the faith and helped those in need.
Pray for us that we may imitate your charity and share what we have with the poor. Protect all children and guide all who travel by sea or land.
Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
St. Nicholas, pray for us. Amen.
