For protection from throat diseases
Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Opening Prayer
O God, who adorned Your bishop Saint Blaise with the grace of martyrdom and miracles, grant through his intercession that we may be freed from all evils of body and soul, especially from diseases of the throat.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Meditation
According to tradition, Blaise saved a child who was choking on a fish bone. For this reason, he became the patron of those with throat ailments. On his feast day, throats are blessed with crossed candles.
We invoke St. Blaise for protection from sore throats, infections, and all diseases of the throat. His intercession has brought healing to many.
Prayer
St. Blaise, you healed the child who was choking. Protect us from all diseases of the throat and bring healing to those who suffer.

Prayer to St. Blaise
O glorious St. Blaise, faithful shepherd and physician of souls and bodies, you saved a child from choking and healed many ailments. Through your powerful intercession, protect us from all diseases, especially those of the throat.
Obtain for us the grace to use our voices always for the glory of God and the good of our neighbor.
Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
St. Blaise, pray for us. Amen.
