For courage in faith
Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Opening Prayer
O God, who granted Saint George the grace to follow Christ by shedding his blood for the faith, grant that through his intercession we may be strengthened in our faith and courageously overcome all evil.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Meditation
George was a Roman soldier who refused to renounce his Christian faith during the persecution under Emperor Diocletian. He chose death over apostasy, witnessing to Christ before the court.
His courage came not from his own strength but from grace. When we face trials for our faith, we can call upon St. George and rely on the same divine assistance.
Prayer
St. George, you courageously confessed Christ before your persecutors. Give me courage to profess my faith boldly, even when it is unpopular or dangerous.

Prayer to St. George
O mighty soldier of Christ, St. George, you triumphed over the dragon of evil and died bearing witness to your faith. Intercede for us that we may have courage in battle against sin and the enemies of our salvation.
Protect all soldiers and defenders of the faith. Help us to fight the good fight and to persevere until the end.
Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory Be
