Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Opening Prayer

O God, who willed to draw all things to Your only-begotten Son lifted up from the earth, graciously grant that, through the merits and example of Your seraphic confessor Saint Joseph, we may be raised above all earthly desires and be made worthy to come to Him.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Meditation

Joseph of Cupertino struggled greatly with his studies. He had difficulty learning and was nicknamed 'the Gaper' for his absentmindedness. Yet by God's grace, he passed his exams and became a priest.

Students everywhere invoke his help before tests. Joseph shows that God's grace can overcome our natural limitations.

Prayer

St. Joseph of Cupertino, patron of students, pray for all who are studying and taking exams. Help them to prepare well and to remain calm, trusting in God's help.

Prayer to St. Joseph of Cupertino

O great St. Joseph of Cupertino, who while on earth did obtain from God the grace to be asked at your examination only the questions you knew, obtain for me success in the examinations of my life, especially in moments when I need clarity and wisdom. Free me from anxiety and help me to trust in God's providence.

Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

St. Joseph of Cupertino, pray for us. Amen.
