For Faith

Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Opening Prayer

Heavenly Father, You called St. Teresa of Calcutta to be a sign of Your love in the world. Through her intercession, help us to recognize Christ in the poor, the sick, the lonely, and the dying. Give us the grace to serve others with the same love and devotion that marked her life.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Reflection

St. Teresa of Calcutta said: "Faith in action is love, and love in action is service." Her entire life was a witness to faith lived out in loving service to others.

Even when she experienced a long 'dark night of the soul,' when she felt no consolation from God, her faith remained steadfast. She continued to serve and to love because she trusted in God's word.

Prayer

St. Teresa of Calcutta, you taught us that faith must be lived out in love and service. Help me to have a faith that transforms my life and leads me to serve others.

Pray for me that I may trust in God even in times of darkness and difficulty.

Prayer to St. Teresa of Calcutta

St. Teresa of Calcutta, you allowed the thirsting love of Jesus on the Cross to become a living flame within you, and so became the light of His love to all.

Obtain from the Heart of Jesus (mention your intention here).

Teach me to allow Jesus to penetrate and possess my whole being so completely that my life, too, may radiate His light and love to others.

St. Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us. Amen.

Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
