In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Opening Prayer
O Lord, God of our fathers, who bestowed on Saints Joachim and Anne this grace, that of them should be born the Mother of Your incarnate Son, grant that through their prayers we may attain the salvation You have promised Your people.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Meditation
Joachim and Anne are the grandparents of Jesus Christ. Though their names do not appear in Scripture, Sacred Tradition honors them as the parents of Mary. They prepared their daughter to become the Mother of God.
Grandparents have a special role in passing on faith to future generations. Their wisdom, love, and example shape the lives of their grandchildren in lasting ways.

Sts. Joachim and Anne, grandparents of our Lord, bless all grandparents. Help them to pass on the faith and to be sources of wisdom and love for their families.

Prayer to Sts. Joachim and Anne
O glorious Saints Joachim and Anne, you were chosen by God to be the parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of our Savior. By your faithful lives and holy example, you prepared her to be worthy of her great calling.
Pray for all parents and grandparents, that they may raise their children in faith and love. Obtain for us the grace to fulfill our vocations with fidelity.
Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
